Training Programs and Opportunities

The Zurich Foundational Talent Training Program (FTTP) provides a targeted, consistent brand and approach to formalized entry level training for Zurich in North America. Programs delivered as part of the FTTP currently includes the Underwriter Training Program (UTP), Claims Training Program (CTP), the Risk Engineering Program (RE), and the Finance Development Program (FDP).
The program participants begin their journey with a “Crossover Week” where they are provided “The Zurich Way” of induction. Participants from the distinct programs begin their first week of classroom training together; to network, collaborate, gain an understanding of Zurich and Zurich’s business strategy, and learn how their role connects locally, regionally, and globally.
The week consists of a variety of common topic areas where the trainees start to learn “The Zurich Way” of Insurance. Working together on exercises and case studies during the week reinforces the learning and sets the tone for their specific training that follows. The week emphasizes how RE, Claims, UW, and Finance contribute to Zurich’s success and the importance of building internal and external business relationships starting with their peers. After crossover week the building of solid Foundational skills and knowledge continues as the participants separate into their job specific in-depth business training that will accelerate their acculturation and professional role specific capability development.
