The roots of the Glatfelter Insurance Group can be traced back to 1951, when Arthur J. Glatfelter, our founder and Chairman of the Board, established his own independent insurance agency. From the very beginning, Art advocated three fundamental principles that form the basis of our corporate culture today: 1) serve all of the insurance needs of our clients; 2) ensure that our clients understand all of their loss exposures; and 3) provide service beyond the expectations of our clients. Above all, he believed that our most important responsibility is to provide prompt, considerate claims service, including follow-through, to ensure our clients are properly reimbursed for their losses.
